Convergence of Privacy and Cybersecurity

In partnership with US-India Business Council (USIBC), Chase India organized a roundtable to explore the linkages between data privacy and cybersecurity in July 2019. The event brought to the discussion table esteemed policy makers including Lt. Gen. Rajesh Pant (Retd.), Chief of National Cyber Coordination Centre (NCCC) and Gopalakrishnan S., Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT, to address the overlapping role of protecting data from breaches, hacking and other cybersecurity abuses, India’s cybersecurity vision, and the rules covering individual data privacy via regulation and oversight. Global experts and policy influencers such as Betsy Broder, Counsel for International Consumer Protection, FTC, Nasreen Djouini, Global Data Policy Advisor, Office of Digital Services Industries, US Department of Commerce, Keiichi Onozawa, Regional Representative for South Asia, Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Anna Pouliou, Privacy Lead, BusinessEurope also came together to discuss principles for evolving global cybersecurity cooperation.
